Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve will be hosting the Bayou Lafourche Canoe Trek from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 21st at 314 St. Mary St., Thibodaux. People age 18 and over can register by calling 985-448-1375 or emailing Kimberly Cook at email@example.com.
The Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District is partnering with Lafourche Parish Government to remove derelict vessels from Bayou Lafourche. $250,000 has been allocated by the two agencies in order to complete the project. A full article by the Daily Comet can be found here.
