2019 Paddle Bayou Lafourche April 11th-13th

The Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP), Friends of Bayou Lafourche (FOBL) and Bayou Lafourche Freshwater District (BLFWD) will be hosting its 18th Annual Paddle Bayou Lafourche event on April 11-13, 2019 and we would like to request your support and participation.

The 50-mile, 3-day adventure, from Donaldsonville to Raceland, winds its way through a number of rural communities and several small towns. Our paddlers are treated not only to scenic natural vistas, but to fascinating “backyard views” of this historic bayou.

The goal of Paddle Bayou Lafourche is to help create a sense of stewardship and pride for the environment. The trip offers a unique approach to educating participants about the great gifts of our wetlands and the historical, cultural, economic and ecological importance of Bayou Lafourche.
