Friends of Bayou Lafourche has worked with the Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District to compile erosion control options for landowners along Bayou Lafourche. The bayou’s slope, current, and salinity levels vary in different areas so property owners should evaluate all options made available. The methods listed here are intended to provide recommendations only.

Tree Giveaway
Grow the Bayou Region, One Tree at a Time
Trees play a vital role in protecting our environment - reducing erosion, improving water quality, and creating cleaner air for all. We were able to give over 1,000 trees to members of Golden Meadow, Raceland, and Napoleonville.
We worked in partnership with The Nicholls Farm, BTNEP, Lafourche Parish Government, and Keep Lafourche Beautiful. Thank you to these partners for making this program happen!
